Our Lady Mt. Carmel, Coorparoo, QLD – Tile Conversion

The tile conversion at Our Lady Mt Carmel, Coorparoo was achieved by workers abseiling from a horizontal ridge support pole and hoisting of sheeting using a pulley system. 

With a pitch of 58 degrees scaffold was also required on both sides of the building to replace the existing tiles with continuous Colorbond sheeting.  An added challenge were the stunning triangular skylights requiring unique flashings and the utmost of care during installation.

Many were surprised with the transformation of this unique building using modern materials.
